A fluoromodified admixture containing isocyanate and urethane and/or urea groups is described. Surprisingly, it has been found that the fluoromodified admixture according to the invention is outstandingly suitable even at a very low dosage for the permanent hydrophobic and/or oleophobic and/or dirt-repellent in-bulk finishing of products based on inorganic or hydraulic or mineral binders, without the fundamental property profile (e.g. compressive and flexural tensile strengths) of these products being substantially influenced. Moreover, it was not to be foreseen that in the case of the products treated with the fluoromodified admixtures according to the invention (e.g. hardened building material compositions) a markedly lower water absorption (avoidance of frost damage and corrosion) and a suppression of bleeding on the surfaces (avoidance of visual impairment) are to be observed. Furthermore, it could not be expected that in spite of the high fluorine modification an adequate self-dispersibility is afforded.

Disclosed is a functionalized polyurethane resin containing a binder component, a hardener component and, optionally, a formulation component. The binder component consists essentially of urethane dispersions with defined structural components which, in turn, consist of special reaction products. Such polyurethane resins are used for the production of fluorine-modified polyurethane coatings and generally in construction or industrial applications for the permanent oil-, water- and dirt-resistant coating of mineral and non-mineral surfaces on the basis of, for example, hydraulically setting components.

Lubricant compositions having at least one base oil composition and a friction-reducing composition comprising at least a first diol compound are described. Methods for making such compounds and methods of drilling using such lubricant compositions are also described.
A lubricating oil composition for use in wet brakes comprising a base oil selected from mineral oils and synthetic oils and mixtures thereof, and from 0.01 to 0.5% by mass, relative to the lubricating oil composition, of a diol compound (A) represented by Formula (1), CnH2n+2O2 or CnH2nO2 (Formula 1), wherein the number of carbon atoms n is in the range of from 10 to 24. The lubricating oil compositions of the present invention have excellent wet brake friction characteristics and wear resistance as well as oxidative stability and are suitable as a general-purpose lubricating oil for agricultural tractors or construction machinery vehicles.
