Heteroditopic monomers containing an arylboronate ester and a dialkyl-4-aminopyridine group aggregate via dativeboron-nitrogenbonds to give main chain supramolecular polymers. The degree of polymerization can be tuned by changing the electronic and steric properties of the boronate ester.
