Synthesis and Anti‐Oomycete Activity of 1‐Sulfonyloxy/Acyloxydihydroeugenol Derivatives

AbstractEndeavor to discover biorational natural products‐based fungicides, two series (26) of novel 1‐sulfonyloxy/acyloxydihydroeugenol derivatives (3a–p and 5a–j) were prepared and assessed for their fungicidal activity against P. capsici Leonian, in vitro. Results of fungicidal activity revealed that, among all compounds, especially compounds 3a, 5c, and 5e displayed the most potent anti‐oomycete activity against P. capsici with EC50 values of 69.33, 68.81, and 67.77 mg/L, respectively. Overall, the anti‐oomycete activities of 1‐acyloxydihydroeugenol derivatives (5a–j) were higher than that of 1‐sulfonyloxydihydroeugenol derivatives (3a–p). It is proved that the introduction of the acyl group at hydroxy position of dihydroeugenol is more beneficial to improve its anti‐oomycete activity than that of the sulfonyl group. These preliminary results will pave the way for further modification of dihydroeugenol in the development of potential new fungicides.
Electroreductive Coupling of Aromatic Acyl Bromides to 1,2-Diketones

The direct electroreduction of aromatic acyl bromides gave aromatic 1,2-diketones. The best result was obtained using a Pb cathode in acetonitrile containing Bu4NClO4 as a supporting electrolyte. Aromatic acyl bromides substituted by an electron-donating group afforded 1,2-diketones in moderate-to-good yields, whereas acylated endiols were formed exclusively from aromatic acyl bromides substituted by an electron-withdrawing group.

The present invention is directed to provide an efficient production method which is capable of not only obtaining a cyclic sulfonic acid ester (sultone) at low cost and in high yield, but also the sulfonic acid ester (sultone) stably even in a commercial scale. The present invention relates to a method for producing hydroxysultone comprising a first step where a diol having a specified structure and a thionyl halide are reacted to obtain a cyclic sulfite having a specified structure, and a second step where the cyclic sulfite is reacted with water or/and alcohol; a method for producing an unsaturated sultone having a specified structure comprising a third step where a hydroxylsultone having a specified structure is reacted with an acid halide or an acid anhydride to obtain an intermediate, subsequently the intermediate is treated with a base; as well as a cyclic sulfite having a specified structure.
Primer, conductor foil with resin, laminated sheet and method of manufacturing laminated sheet

The invention aims to provide a resin primer which can stick an insulator layer to a conductor foil whereof the surface is not much roughened with sufficient adhesive force, a conductor foil with resin, a laminated sheet and a method of manufacturing same. The resin primer of the invention comprises a resin having film-forming ability and a breaking energy of 0.15 J or more. The conductor foil with resin of the invention comprises a resin layer comprising a conductor foil and the aforesaid resin primer. Further, the laminated sheet of the invention comprises the conductor foil, an insulating layer disposed facing the conductor foil, and a resin layer comprising the aforesaid resin primer disposed between the conductor foil and insulating layer so that it is in contact therewith. This laminated sheet can be manufactured by heating and pressurizing a laminate comprising the aforesaid conductor foil with resin, and a prepreg laminated on this resin layer.
