Knoevenagel condensation of aromatic aldehydes with active methylene compounds such as malononitrile, ethylcyanoacetate, benzimidazol‐2‐acetonitrile and benzothiazole‐2‐acetonitrile proceeded very smoothly, catalyzed by nano‐Fe3O4 encapsulated‐silica particles supported primary amine.
