Durch den Zusatz der genannten Verbindung(en) wird bei gleicher Spalttemperatur der Umsatz erhöht beziehungsweise bei gleichem Umsatz die Spalttemperatur erniedrigt, wobei gleichzeitig eine Verminderung von störenden Nebenprodukten beobachtet wird.
