5′-di-O-methylenedioxyriboflavinium perchlorate (1, DMRFlEt+ClO4 –), derived readily from commercially available vitamin B2 (riboflavin), exhibits high catalytic activity for the oxidation of organic sulfides with hydrogen peroxide.
