    摘要:
    A wide variety of new macrocyclic diazocarbonyl compounds with various spacers was synthesized. Macrocyclic rhodium(H) carberioid insertion with various substituted indoles was performed to afford regioselectively, indol-3-yl macrocyclic di- or tetralactones (C3-alkylation). Double carberioid insertion was also performed to afford indolyl cryptand molecules. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

    Photovoltaic cells made, at ambient conditions, from blends of regioregular poly(3-alkylthiophenes) and soluble fullerene derivatives are compared. It is shown that the cell performance is affected by the length of the donor side-chain, as it occurs in devices based on pure polythiophenes. The highest value of power conversion efficiency (0.84%) were obtained by using poly(3-hexylthiophene) and a fullerene concentration of 33-40% by weight. We anticipate a significant further improvement in power conversion efficiency upon a mild thermal treatment of the cells.

    [GRAPHICS]A series of new crown ethers, Incorporating a malonate ester functionality, have been synthesized and derivatized with pi-electron rich aldehydes; to give, conjugated, extended "push-pull" compounds. Their ability to bind Lewis acid-like metal cations, such as Mg2+ and Eu3+, has been characterized, and the relative stability constants are presented. When the metal cation is bound to the malonate moiety within the crown ether cavity, the D-pi-A character of the molecular structure is greatly enhanced.
