  (EN) The present invention provides novel methods of using a composition comprising butylurea and a polymer gel. The methods provided by the present invention comprise the use of a polymer gel composition applied to a wound as a pre-crosslinked polymer gel, or as a composition which is applied to the wound and thereafter polymerized by the addition of a cross-linking agent to the composition. The polymer gel composition is designed to treat viral, bacterial, and fungal infections associated with wounds, to prevent infection of wounds by infectious agents, and to help protect wounds from physical trauma.(FR) L'invention porte sur de nouveaux procédés d'utilisation d'une préparation comprenant du butylurée et un gel de polymère consistant à appliquer sur une blessure soit le gel en tant que gel de préréticulation, soit la préparation qui se polymérise après adjonction d'un agent de réticulation. Ladite préparation traite les infections virales, bactériennes ou mycosiques liées à des blessures pour en prévenir l'infection et contribuer à les protéger des traumatismes.
