The resistance to oxidative degradation of polyolefin compositions containing 5 to 50 % by weight of talc and a phenolic antioxidant is improved by adding to the composition a stabilizing amount of poly TDP which is a polyester having an average molecular weight of from about 500 to about 4,000, and having the repeating unit
wherein R is selected from divalent radicals such as 1,1-cyclohexanedimethylene; 1,2-cyclohexanedimethylene; 1,3-cyclohexanedimethylene; and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethylene; and preferably being at least partially chain-terminated with a compound such as methanol, ethanol and butanol or acids or their anhydrides such as acetic, butyric and isobutyric acid.
This invention concerns a polyolefin resin composition composed essentially of
(A) a polyolefin resin,
(B) an alkyl disulfide compound represented by formula [I]
R¹-S-S-R² [I]
wherein R¹ and R² are the same or different and each denotes an alkyl group with 10 or more carbon atoms,
(C) a triazine compound represented by formula [II)
and/or a benzene compound represented by formula [III]
According to this invention, there is provided the stabilized polyolefin resin composition that can keep resistance to heat ageing for a long period of time and beside does not discolor.
Use of an additive composition comprising a compound of the following formula (I):
wherein R, R1, and R2 are of the following formula (II)
wherein
m is an integer of from 1 to 4,
R3 is a methyl group,
R4 is an alkyl group,
for improving (a) the preservation of the intrinsic molecular integrity of a polymer to which the additive is added, measured by the melt flow index protection, and/or (b) the gas fading resistance of a polymer to which the additive is added in comparison to the use of tris-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxy-benzyl)isocyanurate as additive in said polymer.

A composition comprising polylactic acid and having excellent heat stability, especially moist heat stability, and a molded article thereof.
The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a resin component (component A) which is composed of 5 to 100 wt% of polylactic acid (component A-α) and 95 to 0 wt% of a thermoplastic resin (component A-β), 0.001 to 5 parts by weight of a phosphono-fatty acid ester (component B), 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a phosphate metal salt (component C), 0.001 to 2 parts by weight of at least one antioxidant (component D) selected from the group consisting of a phosphite-based compound, a phosphonite-based compound, a hindered phenol-based compound and a thioether-based compound, and 0.001 to 10 parts by weight of an end-sealing agent (component E).
To provide a resin composition which is excellent in mechanical properties, chemical resistance, appearance and tape peeling resistance.
The resin composition comprises 1 to 20 parts by weight of (C) at least one styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer (component C) selected from the group consisting of a styrene-ethylene-propylene-styrene block copolymer (SEPS), a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer (SEBS) and a styrene-butadiene-butylene-styrene block copolymer (SBBS) based on 100 parts by weight of the total of (A) a polycarbonate-based resin (component A) and (B) a polyolefin-based resin having a MFR at 230°C under a load of 2.16 kg of not less than 40 g/10 min (component B).
