Palladium-catalyzed arylation of aryl sulfonamides with cyclohexanones

Pd-catalyzed intermolecular aerobic dehydrogenative aromatizations have been developed for the arylation of aryl sulfonamides with cyclohexanones. Various N-aryl sulfonamides were selectively obtained in good yields using molecular oxygen as oxidant. The reaction tolerated a wide range of functionalities. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. A palladium-catalyzed construction for N-arylsulfonamide from nitroarenes and arylsulfonylhydrazides is developed. In this protocol, abundant and stable nitroarenes serve as the nitrogen sources by in situ reduction reaction of hydrogen released from arylsulfonylhydrazides. No external oxidants or reductants are needed for this kind of transformation.
6-Amino isoquinoline compounds are provided that influence, inhibit or reduce the action of a kinase. Pharmaceutical compositions including therapeutically effective amounts of the 6-aminoisoquinoline compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers are also provided. Various methods using the compounds and/or compositions to affect disease states or conditions such as cancer, obesity and glaucoma are also provided.
