  We describe herein an evaluation of trypanocidal effects of the natural alkaloid piperine and twelve synthetic derivatives against epimastigote and amastigote forms of the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma cruzi, the causative agent of the incurable human disease, Chagas' disease.
