  This discovery relates to an erasable ink composition that can be erased using an ordinary pencil eraser. It can be used in ball point pens. Other applicators can be used. Of course, the composition includes colorant and solvent. The combination of a thermoplastic elastomer and plasticizer components are important to the composition. The elastomer is a block copolymer, and the plasticizer is advantageously an ester. Other components include lubricant, resin and dispersant. Concentration ranges for the colorant is from 0.1% to 60%, for the thermoplastic elastomer is from 8% to 30%; for the plasticizer is from 10% to 35%; for the solvent is from 10% to 40%; for the resin is up to about 12%; for the lubricant is up to about 8% and for the dispersant is up to about 2%, all percent by weight of the composition. The colorant is conventional; the thermoplastic elastomer and plasticizer are not conventional. The thermo- plastic elastomer is styrene-butadiene-styrene; styrene-isoprene-styrene or styrene-polyolefin-styrene. The latter thermoplastic elastomer is advantageous. The advantageous plasticizer is dioctyl adipate. The weight ratio of thermoplastic elastomer to plasticizer is 0.1 to 3.0. Other advantageous components are a polyterpene resin, lauric acid and methyl cylcohexane solvent. The latter component has a Hildebrand solubility paramenter of 7.8. This discovery also relates to a process of forming erasable script.

  Described herein is a process and an apparatus for preparing propylene homopolymers and copolymers, which comprises polymerizing propylene optionally with comonomers in the presence of a catalyst at elevated temperature and pressure in at least one slurry reactor and at least one gas phase reactor, the polymerization product of at least one slurry reactor, containing unreacted monomers, being conducted to a first gas phase reactor essentially without recycling of the unreacted monomers to the slurry reactor. The invention provides for fast start-ups because the gas phase bed material is available directly from the loop reactor.

  Objects of the present invention are to provide a composition which can easily give cured products enriched with hydrophilic groups at the surface, and a composition which can give cured products while ensuring that the surface is enriched with hydrophilic groups which are hardly concentrated at the surface by conventional methods; to provide cured products obtained from such compositions; to provide a composition which is suited for producing cured products having high and long-lasting hydrophilicity and also having high surface smoothness; and to provide a cured product obtained from the composition. A monolayer film is fabricated which includes a crosslinked resin obtained by polymerizing a composition including a compound (I) having at least one hydrophilic group selected from anionic hydrophilic groups, cationic hydrophilic groups and hydroxyl groups, and at least one functional group with a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond (wherein the number of the functional groups with a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond is one when the hydrophilic group is a hydroxyl-containing group); a compound (II) having two or more functional groups with a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond (wherein the compound may have a hydroxyl group but is free from anionic hydrophilic groups and cationic hydrophilic groups); and at least one compound selected from a surfactant (III) having a hydrophilic moiety including an anionic hydrophilic group, a cationic hydrophilic group or two or more hydroxyl groups, and a hydrophobic moiety including an organic residue, and a compound (IV) having a siloxane bond and a molecular weight of 200 to 1,000,000 (wherein the surfactant (III) and the compound (IV) have no polymerizable carbon-carbon double bonds). The monolayer film has a gradient of hydrophilic group concentration (Sa/Da) of not less than 1.1 wherein Sa is the surface concentration of at least one type of hydrophilic groups selected from anionic hydrophilic groups, cationic hydrophilic groups and hydroxyl groups, and Da is the deep concentration of the hydrophilic groups at 1/2 of the thickness of the monolayer film.
