  1N substituted pyrazino[2,3-c]-1,2,6-thiadiazine 2,2-dioxides of formula I where:    R₁ and R₂, which may be the same or different, are members of the group formed by hydrogen, straight or branched chain alkyl aryl, trifluoromethyl, halogen, oxo, amino, carboxamido and alkoxycarbonyl;    R₃ is a member of the group formed by straight or branched chain alkyl, dialkylaminoethyl, aralkyl, alkoxycarbonylmethyl, carboxymethyl and hydroxyethyl; and    R₄ and R₅, which may be the same or different, are members of the group formed by hydrogen, straight or branched chain alkyl and aralkyl, hydroxyalkyl, amino, aminoalkyl, alkylaminoalkyl; and a process for the preparation thereof.
