    A “growth from the surface” method for selectively depositing oxidative Liquid Phase Polymerizations (LPPs) onto the carbon nanotube (CNT) surface, said method comprising steps of: a. obtaining Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWC-NT); b. oxidized said MWCNTs to obtain oxidized COOH-MWCNTs; thereby (a) carboxylative opening oxidation-sensitive end-caps (polyCOOH end cluster); and, (b) introducing defect carboxylic (COOH) groups onto predetermined areas of said oxidized COOH-MWCNTs; c. COOH activating the polyCOOH shell using various COOH activating species; and, d. executing Liquid Phase Polymerization (LPP) oxidative depositing polymers selected from said polyCOOH polyTh-CP polymers, polyCOOH poly-Th-, polyEDOT (PEDOT)-, polyTh polyCOOH poly(thiophenyl-3 acetic acid, thiophenyl-3 acetic acid/EDOT, polyX, wherein X is elected from COOH, OH, NH2, polyCbz/polyPyr CP polymers and related combinatorial mixtures, polyCOOH PEDOT-poly(thiophenyl-3 acetic acid)′ thereby selectively depositing said oxidative LPPs onto said CNT surface.

    A nonvolatile memory includes at least a first electrode ( 71 ) and a second electrode ( 72 ) provided on a substrate, the first and second electrodes being separated from each other, and a conductive organic thin film ( 73 ) for electrically connecting the first and second electrodes. The conductive organic thin film ( 73 ) has a first electric state in which it exhibits a first resistance, and a second electric state in which it exhibits a second resistance. A first threshold voltage for a transition from the first electric state to the second electric state, and a second threshold voltage for a transition from the second electric state to the first electric state are different from each other, and either the first electric state or the second electric state is maintained at a voltage in a range between the first threshold voltage and the second threshold voltage. The conductive organic thin film ( 73 ) is bound with a surface of the substrate by conjugate bonds. A diode ( 74 ) may be connected with the conductive organic thin film ( 73 ). This provides a nonvolatile memory that not only allows writing/reading of record to be performed utilizing a change in an electrical resistance of the conductive organic thin film ( 73 ), but also can be densely packaged.

    An organic electronic device of the present invention includes a substrate, at least two electrodes formed on the substrate, a conductive organic thin film that is formed on the substrate and electrically connects the electrodes, and a coating film for coating at least a portion of the electrodes. The conductive organic thin film is a polymer of organic molecules containing a conjugated-bondable group, and one end of each of the organic molecules is chemically bonded to the surface of the substrate and the conjugated-bondable groups in the organic molecules are polymerized with other conjugated-bondable groups to form a conjugated bond chain. The coating film electrically connects the electrodes to the conductive organic thin film and achieves a smaller connection resistance than that in the case where the electrodes and the conductive organic thin film are connected directly. As the coating film, a film made of metal selected from gold, platinum, and silver, a conductive polymeric film, or a monomolecular film that is chemically bonded to the electrodes can be used.
