A continuous flow inverse-electron-demand Kondrat'eva reaction has been developed that provides direct access to cycloalka[c]pyridines from unactivated oxazoles and cycloalkenes. Annulated pyridines obtained by this one-step process are valuable scaffolds for medicinal chemistry.

A new protocol for the Minisci C–H alkylation of heteroarenes using the widely available and structurally diverse pool of unactivated alkyl bromides mediated by photoredox catalysis have been developed. This transformation proceeds under mild conditions to provide numerous primary, secondary and tertiary products, including analogs of currently approved therapeutics.
