controllable metathesis catalyst system was obtained by in situ modification of the Grubbs catalyst with tridentate Schiff base (ONO) ligands. The latent catalyst was activated by the addition of HCl, which allowed control of its initiation rate by varying the HCl/Ru ratio. Due to the superior control over the catalyst initiation step, improved molecular weight control in the ring-opening metathesis polymerization
The synthesis of a series of 3,4-dihydroquinolines (3b–e, 3h and 3i) by Imino Diels–Alderreactions involving sulfolene and boronates 2a–j derived from Schiff bases is described. The reactions are regioselective leading to 4-substituted dihydroquinolines with a cis relative stereochemistry between the phenyl group on the boron atom and the vinyl substituent at position 4, as established by X-ray diffraction

single crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses were employed to establish the solid state molecularstructures of these complexes. The structures of 1–3 reveal that all complexes are mononuclear with a five‐coordinated tin(IV) centre in it. The absorption and emission properties of all complexes have been investigated. Moreover, cytotoxicity and fluorescence cell imaging studies of theses complexes have been
