  The purpose of the “Dissolvable on-command Implant” is to act as a pressure equalizer tube in the eardrum, which has the unique characteristic that the tube can be dissolved with a specially formulated drop solution on-command. This tube can have various shapes and sizes, although the tube is usually a cylindrical tube with a hollow center, which maintains a ventilatory port for the middle ear space. With this design, the ear tube promotes drainage of middle ear fluid, lets air enter the middle ear, and allows for instillation of antibiotic drops.

  Encapsulated pigment for use in ink-jet ink formulations, improved ink-jet ink formulations using the encapsulated pigment, and methods for producing same. The pigment particles are pretreated with a polymer that is soluble in organic solvents, but substantially insoluble in water. The pigment particles are added to a solution of polymer/organic solvent, mixed to form a paste then collected after driving off the solvent. The encapsulated pigment can be used to prepare an ink-jet ink formulation by grinding it in a water carrier with a conventional polymer dispersant.

  A chemically prepared toner for electrophotographic printers and method therefor using a unique polymeric dispersant. The chemically prepared toner includes agglomerated polymeric dispersant stabilized pigment particles, a fuser release agent, a charge control agent dispersion, and a self-stabilized essentially surfactant free latex binder.
