The invention relates to a cross-linked semi-permeable gas separation membrane having a thin discriminating layer substantially derived from a reaction product of an epoxy resin and a thermoformable, thermosettable aromatic polymer of polycarbonate, polyestercarbonate, polyester, or a combination thereof, and a process of separating gases using the membrane.
