Polycyclic<i>N</i>-Hetero Compounds. XLII: Convenient Syntheses of 6, 7-Dihydro-5<i>H</i>-pyrido[2,3-<i>b</i>]pyrimido[4,5-<i>d</i>]azepine as a Novel Polyheterocyclic Ring System and Its 4-Substituted Derivatives
A convenient synthetic route for the syntheses of 6,7-dihydro-5H-pyrido[2, 3-b]pyrimido[4,5-d]azepine and its 4-substituted derivatives starting from ethyl 2-aminopyridine-3-carboxylate is described as the fist example of the unknown ring system. A new class of anti-platelet aggregation activity for them against collagene-induced aggregation of rabbit blood platelet in vitro was found.
