The Catalytic Synthesis of Carboniolamide: The Role of sp 3 Hybridized Oxygen
摘要:
A catalytic synthesis of carboniolamide has been reported. The strategy was straightforward with aldehyde and amide as starting materials. The products can be isolated as precipitates from the reaction mixture. The factor that stabilizes the labile functionality of hemiaminal was elucidated as a sp(3) hybridized oxygen.

Reaction of an acrylamide with an alkyl glyoxylate or an alkyl glyoxylate hemiacetal provides an alkyl acrylamidoglycolate which can readily be alkylated to provide the alkyl ether thereof.
A latex useful as a binder for paper, nonwovens, or textiles is prepared by copolymerising in aqueous emulsion using a redox initiator at low temperature, e.g. 5°C, a mixture of 35 to 60% weight of a conjugated diene monomer and from about 30 to 65% by weight of a vinyl aryl monomer. Additional improvements can be obtained by incorporating in the mixture a small percentage by weight of copolymerisable monomers such as acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid and/or a functional type monomer having an activatable methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl ester group and a vinyl group.
