4-bromophenyl semicarbazones were synthesised and evaluated for anticonvulsant and sedative -hypnotic activities. After intraperitoneal injection to mice, the semicarbazone derivatives were examined in the maximal electroshock seizure (MES), subcutaneous pentylenetetrazole (scPTZ), subcutaneous strychnine (scSTY) and neurotoxicity (NT) screens.
