  Catalytic amination of 7-hydroxy-6-cyanocoumarin or 7-hydroxy-6-methoxycarbonylcoumarin triflates with substituted anilines, isoquinolin-5-amine, 1H-pyrazol-3-amine, or amino acids of penicillin series affords the corresponding 7-(N-substituted) aminocoumarins.
