A process for preparing a liquid MDI, which comprises adding, to MDI, a phosphorin catalyst and a phosphorous acid ester of the formula (I):

wherein R¹, R², R³, R⁴, R⁵, R⁶ and R⁷ each is, same or different, and C₄-C₂₀ alkyl group,
and conducting a reaction.
EFFECT: The process according to the present invention can produce liquid MDI having stable properties. This liquid MDI has almost no discoloring, even if it is stored for a long time. The present process can commercially provide a polyurethane raw material having an easy handling.

An apparatus for separating and purifying saturated hydrocarbon comprises an extractive distillation column to which a material containing an unsaturated hydrocarbon and a solvent are fed and in which the unsaturated hydrocarbon is separated and distilled, a sensor for measuring the concentration of an impurity in the extractive distillation column, a sensor for measuring the concentration of the unsaturated hydrocarbon, a sensor for measuring the pressure difference between the top and bottom of the distillation column, a control valve for controlling the amount of unsaturated hydrocarbon taken out from the bottom of the column and to be returned to the column, a control valve for controlling the amount of solvent, a control valve for controlling the amount of reflux, a heater for controlling the temperature at the bottom of the column, prediction control means for calculating prediction values of the concentration of the impurity, the concentration of the object, and the pressure difference based on the outputs of the sensors, and for performing control according to the prediction values. A method for separation and purification using the apparatus is also disclosed. By adopting the apparatus and method, the objective unsaturated hydrocarbon is stably taken out at a predetermined concentration irrespective of the variation of material component.

A method of separating and purifying conjugated dienes includes a step of obtaining a first bottom product by taking out a hydrocarbon mixture including conjugated diene under an environment in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor including at least one of nitrite and di-lower aklylhydroxylamine in a first extractive distillation column; a step of obtaining a second bottom product and a distillation portion by distilling the first bottom product in a first diffusion column; a step of obtaining a third bottom product by taking out the distillation portion under an environment in the presence of the polymerization inhibitor in a second extractive distillation column; a step of obtaining a fourth bottom product by distilling the third bottom product in a second diffusion column; a step of recovering the second bottom product and fourth bottom product and supplying to the first extractive distillation column and/or second extractive distillation column; a step of measuring concentration of a polymerization inhibitor included in the second bottom product and/or fourth bottom product; and a control step of controlling the concentration of the polymerization inhibitor included in the second bottom product and/or fourth bottom product by changing a supply amount of the polymerization inhibitor to the first extractive distillation column and/or second extractive distillation column in accordance with the measured concentration of the polymerization inhibitor. According to the method, generation of rubbery substances in an apparatus can be efficiently and stably suppressed and an excessive polymerization inhibitor is not left in conjugated dienes.

For example, a separation and purification apparatus having an extractive distillation tower 4 for separating and purifying butadiene, impurity concentration sensors 32, 34 for detecting the concentrations of specific impurities other than butadiene, a target material concentration sensor for detecting the concentration of butadiene in the extractive distillation tower, and a differential pressure sensor 30 for detecting the differential pressure between the top and bottom of the extractive distillation tower 4 and a separation and purification method. The method calculates a concentration of a specific impurity after a predetermined time, a concentration of butadiene at the top, and a forecasted value of the differential pressure between the top and bottom based on the sensors and controls operations based on the forecasted values by a concentration predictive control means 60. It controls a feedstock flow rate control valve 21a controlling the rate of feedstock fed to the extractive distillation tower 4, a load detecting means 61 for detecting the load of the extractive distillation tower, and a feedstock flow rate control valve 21a by a load control means 62 in accordance with detection values detected by the load detecting means 61.
A polyester-series resin composition comprises (A) a polyester block copolymer and (C) a polycarbodiimide compound, and if necessary (B) a polyepoxy compound. The copolymer (A) is obtainable by reaction of (a1) a crystalline aromatic polyester and (a2) a lactone, and if necessary (a3) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a polycarboxylic acid or an ester-formable derivative thereof and a polyol or an ester-formable derivative thereof in the presence of a phosphorous ester. Such a resin composition is particularly excellent in recycling efficiency and is useful for blow molding. The resin composition has a high hydrolysis resistance and an excellent heat resistance (particularly thermal cycling resistance).
