The present invention describes, among other things, the surprising discovery that gaseous precursor filled compositions are profoundly more effective as acoustically active contrast agents when they are thermally preactivated to temperatures at or above the boiling point of the instilled gaseous precursor prior to their in vivo administration to a patient. Further optimization of contrast enhancement is achieved by administering the gaseous precursor filled compositions to a patient as an infusion. Enhanced effectiveness is also achieved for ultrasound mediated targeting and drug delivery.

The present invention relates to a solvent for cleaning textiles or clothes. The present invention provides a solvent for cleaning which has a specified formula that is safe on the human body and environment, as well as good cleaning ability against oil-based and water-based contaminants and can be quickly dried. The solvent of the present invention and a composition comprising the same can be effectively used to water clean or dry clean textiles or clothes at home.

Methods of making metal components are described in which a coating composition comprising an at least partially fluorinated compound is applied to a surface cleaned with a solvent.

A solvent composition and method for making same is disclosed having a composition between 26 to 90 weight percent propionate, butyrate, or combination thereof and between 10 to 74 weight percent fluorinated solvent blend, wherein the fluorinated solvent blend includes t-DCE. A polymer solvent system is also disclosed incorporating the solvent composition and dissolved polymers, such as SEBS polymers. The solvent composition and polymer solvent system is minimally combustible or preferably nonflammable.
