The present invention relates to an emulsified flavor composition for an alcoholic beverage that does not generate a floating matter or a sediment, that maintains a stable emulsified state, that imparts transparent appearance to the alcoholic beverage and that does not impair the taste/flavor of the alcoholic beverage, even when mixed with a concentrated syrup that has an alcohol concentration several times higher than that of the alcoholic beverage during the steps for producing the alcoholic beverage. The emulsified flavor composition for alcoholic beverages of the present invention comprises: (a) an oil-soluble component containing a flavor; (b) a polyglycerol fatty acid ester whose 1% by weight aqueous solution has transmittance of 65% or higher at 600 nm; and (c) lecithin.

According to one embodiment, there is provided a solubilizing enhancer for a poorly water soluble material, containing a gluconate as an active component. A composition for enhancing a solubilization, containing the solubilizing enhancer and an aqueous solvent is also provided. Furthermore, a solubilized composition containing the composition for enhancing a solubilization, an anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, a poorly water soluble material and an aqueous solvent is also provided. The solubilizing enhancer of the present invention is suitably used for production of compositions/products containing the poorly water soluble material, such as an air freshener, a cosmetic product, a toiletry product, a pharmaceutical product and a quasi-pharmaceutical product.

The present invention relates to freshening compositions, devices comprising same and methods of using same for freshening the atmosphere, the air or surfaces. Also provided are methods for manufacturing the freshening compositions and devices comprising same. Disclosed are non-glycol ether liquid freshening compositions comprising a fragrance release modulator. A freshening composition of this invention may comprise (i) from about 0.1 wt % to about 95 wt % perfume raw materials, (ii) from about 0.01 wt % to about 90 wt % fragrance release modulator, and (iii) from about 1.0 wt % to about 95 wt % solvents, diluents or a mixture thereof. Disclosed are passive and active air or surface freshening products comprising a freshening composition of the present invention that allow controlled and customized release of the freshening composition to the atmosphere, air, or onto surfaces. The addition of a fragrance release modulator to formulate a freshening composition of the present invention allows the modulation of the release of the freshening composition.
