  Eleven novel five-membered PSe2C2 heterocycles have been synthesised from [PhP(Se)(μ-Se)]2 (Woollins' reagent) and alkynes (one or two C≡C triple bonds) by insertion of a Ph(Se)PSe2 fragment into alkyne triple bonds.
