  This invention concerns anthelmintic compositions which contain as active component anilinomethylenemalononitrile derivatives corresponding to the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, the propargyl group or the benzyl radical, R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, halogen, the trifluoromethyl group, the nitro group or the cyano group, R.sub.3 represents hydrogen, halogen, the trifluoromethyl group or the nitro group, and R.sub.4 represents hydrogen or halogen, With the proviso that R.sub.1 may only be the propargyl group or the benzyl radical if at least one of the symbols R.sub.2 or R.sub.3 represents the trifluoromethyl group, and the use of the compositions for combating helminths in domestic animals and productive livestock.
