A Pd-crotyl(t-BuXPhos) precatalyst selectively coupled the Ar–Br of the polyhaloarene with benzophenone imine, even in the presence of a secondary amine, while Pd-based RuPhos or (BINAP)Pd(allyl)Cl coupled the Ar–Cl site with secondary amines.
