  Food coating composition comprising protective-colloid-stabilized polyacrylate dispersions, use thereof and coated foods produced therewith A description is given of food coating compositions comprising a) a plastics dispersion or a mixture of plastics dispersions comprising at least one homo- or copolymer poly(meth)acrylate having at least 55% by weight (meth)acrylate monomer units and also 0.1 to 30% by weight of at least one protective colloid, and also b) aids and/or additives used for producing food coatings. The coatings are distinguished by sufficiently high water vapor transmission rates, low water absorption capacity and also low reemulsification capacity and have good mechanical properties in the moist state.
