emission originates from single molecules (T1M) whereas the long-lived component at lower energy results from an aggregate (T1A). Under 365 nm UV light irradiation, crystalline o-BrTAB emits bright pale blue light (fluorescence). After turningoff the light, a persistent yellow afterglow remains for 2 s.
