  The diastereoisomeric pairs of 1-(2-tetralonyl)-2,3-dicarbomethoxy-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hepta-2,5-dienes were purified and separated using tlc procedures and their H-1 and C-13 spectra were recorded and assigned. The respective conformations and configurations of the enantiomeric pairs were determined using a combination of selective homonuclear decoupling techniques, NOE difference spectroscopy and 2D heteronuclear correlation sequences (HETCORR and COLOC).
