  2‐Thioxo‐1,2,3,4‐tetrahydropyrimidine derivatives 1 were reacted with phenacyl bromide in glacial acetic acid to obtain thiazolo[3,2‐a]pyrimidine derivatives. UV‐, IR‐, and 1H‐NMR spectra and elementary analysis data confirm structures 3. 1H‐1H}‐NOE techniques showed that the isolated products are H‐5 isomers.
