The antineoplastic constituents of Combretum caffrum (Eckl. and Zeyh) Kuntze (Combretaceae family), a species indigenous to South Africa, have been investigated. Subsequently we isolated a series of closely related bibenzyls, stilbenes, and phenanthrenes from C. caffrum.
