  (EN) Substituted benzyl carbamates of formula (I), wherein R is halogen, trifluoromethyl, cyano, nitro or C1-C3haloalkoxy; Z is hydrogen or halogen; or Z and R together in 2- and 3-position of the phenyl ring form the group -OCF2O-; R1 is C1-C5alkyl; R2 and R3 are each independently of the other hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; X is oxygen, sulfur, -SO- or -SO2-; Y is hydrogen, halogen, C1-C3alkyl, C1-C3haloalkyl, C1-C3alkoxy or cyano; and n is 0, 1 or 2; and the diastereoisomers thereof, have pre- and postemergence herbicidal properties. The preparation of these compounds and the use thereof as herbicides are described.(FR) L'invention concerne des carbamates de benzyle substitués de formule (I), dans laquelle R représente halogène, trifluorométhyle, cyano, nitro ou haloalcoxy C1-C3; Z représente hydrogène ou halogène; ou Z et R conjointement en position 2 et 3 du cycle phényle forment le groupe -OCF2O-; R1 représente un alkyle C1-C5; R2 et R3 représentent chacun indépendamment l'un de l'autre hydrogène, méthyle ou éthyle; X représente oxygène, soufre, -SO- ou -SO2; Y représente hydrogène, halogène, alkyle C1-C3, haloalkyle alcoxy C1-C3 ou cyano; et n vaut 0,1 ou 2.
