Abstract Two new coordination polymers, namely [Zn3(bcpmba)2(Py)6]·2H2O}n (I) and [Cd(Hbcpmba)]· H2O}n (II) (H3bcpmba = 3,5-bi(4-carboxy-phenylene-methylene-oxy)-benzoic acid, Py = pyridine) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions.
