been devised on the basis of TfOH as the catalyst and Solkane365mfc as the reaction medium. The direct condensation of equimolar amounts of various carboxylic acids and alcohols was conveniently carried out without recourse to any additional water removal technique, giving the desired carboxylic esters in excellent yields.
