    3-(五氟苯基)茚(1a)或(五氟苯基)环戊二烯(1b)与Ti(NMe 2)4的反应得到的产物中,C 6 F 5基团的邻氟之一或全部被二甲基氨基取代团体。的邻位选择性表明钛介导的分子内的亲核芳族取代的机制。有机产物3- [2-(二甲基氨基)四氟苯基]茚(4a),3- [2,6-双(二甲基氨基)三氟苯基]茚(7a)和1- [2,6-双(二甲基氨基)三氟苯基]环戊二烯(7b)在水解后分离。通过先用氢化钠然后用二溴化铁的THF溶液处理,将取代的环戊二烯(7b)转化为相应的二茂铁衍生物(12)。晶体学上表征了三种化合物(4a,7b和12)。
