    5,8-二溴喹喔啉衍生物和2,6-二溴喹喔啉与零价镍络合物的脱卤缩聚得到一系列π共轭聚喹喔啉,其分子量为6×103至260×103。聚合物被电化学还原(或n掺杂) 的 E° 值为 -1.75 至 -2.35 V vs Ag/Ag+,并通过化学还原转化为导电率 1 × 10-4 至 7 × 10-3 S cm-1 的导电材料。带有芳香族取代基的聚(喹喔啉-5,8-二基)在溶液和流延膜中发出强荧光,发射峰位于 450-520 nm。发光二极管 (LED) ITO/聚合物/Mg(Ag)(聚合物 = 聚(2,3-二苯基喹喔啉-5,8-二基))发出蓝绿色光(λmax 约 500 nm)。
