We have described herein the syntheses of three novel series of aromatic ring containing pseudomycin side-chain analogues. Preliminary biological evaluations of these analogues clearly indicate that it is possible to synthesize rigid pseudomycin sidechain analogues without compromising in vitro antifungal activity.
