    Disclosed are a macrocyclic carbodiimide (MC-CDI) and a process for synthesizing the same through condensation of a molecule with multiple-isocyanate terminal functional groups under high dilution in the presence of a phospholene catalyst such as phospholene or arsenic catalyst. Also disclosed are MC-CDI derivatives, such as MC-urea (MC-U), MC-acylurea (MC-ACU), acid functionalized MC-ACU, and anhydride functionalized MC-ACU, processes for synthesizing the same, and the applications of such derivatives as hydrolysis stabilizers in organic polymeric materials, such as polyurethane (PU) and polyesters, as well as the applications in the syntheses of the amide- and imide-modified polyurethane by ring-opening reaction of the MC-ACU.

    Disclosed is a novel class of linear segmented non-elastomeric thermoplastic polyesteramides. The polymers are easily obtained by reacting a carboxylic acid-terminated prepolymer (derived by reacting at least a two-molar proportion of a dicarboxylic acid with a polymeric diol of molecular weight 400 to 6000) with a dicarboxylic acid and a diisocyanate. The polymers so obtained have nylon-like prop­erties, particularly nylon 11 or 12, but are distinguished from these nylons by superior high temperature properties. At the same time, they have excellent toughness and low water absorption characteristics.

    Disclosed is a light colored modified isocyanate mixture and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: a) reacting isocyanate groups of a raw material isocyanate under the action of a phospholenecatalyst, and finally obtaining a modified isocyanate reaction solution containing carbodiimide and/or uretonimine derivatives; and b) adding a compounded terminator of a halosilane organic and a sulfonic anhydride to the reaction solution obtained in step a so as to terminate the reaction of carbodiimidization. The modified isocyanate prepared by the method has the characteristics of a liquid state at room temperature, being stable in storage at room temperature and high temperature, and low color number.
