  The facial and meridional isomers of Co(5-MeOqo)3 were prepared by the interaction of 5-methoxy-1,2-benzoquinone-2-oxime (5-MeOqoH) with cobalt(II) chloride, separated by chromatography and characterized by 1H and 13C NMR. The structure of the facial isomer was determined by X-ray crystallography. The complex is octahedral and the ligands chelate through the oximic nitrogen forming five membered rings
