2,6,4‘-Trifluorobenzophenone (TFB) was polycondensed with silylated 4,4‘-dihydroxybiphenyl (DHBP) or silylated bisphenol A in N-methylpyrrolidone by means of K2CO3 as catalyst and HF acceptor.
