The stability constants of the silvercomplexes of 21 substitutedphenylthioaceticacids (HL) of general formula R·C6H4·S·CH2·CO2H have been measured, using a silver–silver chloride indicator electrode with a mercurous sulphate reference electrode, at 20·0° in a sodium acetate–acetic acid buffer solution (µ= 0·10M).
