  1. Die Grignardierung von Vertretern der Marrianolsäure-Reihe führte zu 6-gliedrigen Lactonen, die sich mit Diazomethan zu ungesättigten Estern aufspalten liessen. Ihre Oxydation ergab aber nicht die gewünschten Phenanthren-l,2-dicarbonsäuren. Das gilt auch für die ttus den Esterchloriden gewonnenen Ketone.
