  (EN) This invention pertains to the synthesis of [4-hexadecyl-3-methoxy-butyl] phosphonic acid and its protein conjugates, and the use of these compounds as anti-cancer agents. A method of treating cancer in a mammal afflicted with cancer, comprising treating the afflicted mammal with a therapeutic amount of a phosphonic compound of formula (I), wherein T is an oxygen or sulphur atom, R1 is an aliphatic chain containing 12 to 20 carbon atoms and R2 is a protein moiety, or OX where X is a hydrogen atom, or a pharmaceutically acceptable cation, and either of the opposite stereochemical configurations [(R) or (S)], or a mixture of stereoisomers thereof, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.(FR) La présente invention se rapporte à la synthèse de l'acide [4-hexadécyl-3-méthoxy-butyl] phosphonique et de ses conjugués protéiques, ainsi qu'à l'utilisation de ces composés comme agents anticancéreux. Une méthode de traitement du cancer chez un mammifère atteint de cancer consiste à traiter ledit mammifère avec une dose thérapeutique d'un composé phosphonique de la formule (I), dans laquelle T représente un atome d'oxygène ou de soufre, R1 représente une chaîne aliphatique contenant 12 à 20 atomes de carbone et R2 représente une fraction protéique ou OX, X représentant un atome d'hydrogène, ou un cation acceptable sur le plan pharmaceutique. Ce composé comprend l'une des configurations stéréochimiques opposées [(R) ou (S)], ou un mélange de leurs stéréoisomères. Le composé peut également être administré sous la forme de ses sels acceptables sur le plan pharmaceutique.
