  A new ortho-chlorination system consisting of zinc(II) and hypervalent iodine(III) reagent was developed for ortho-chlorination of amides, and the desired products were obtained in moderate to good yields (38-85%). This highly facile and convenient methodology is tolerant of aromatic amide and alkyl amide with diverse substituted groups. A plausible mechanism has been illustrated, in which carbocation rearrangement and metal salt coordinate facilitated orthochlorination are involved.

  Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Nitroaminobenzolen aus am Stickstoff geschützten Aminobenzolen durch Nitrierung in Gegenwart von inerten, mit Wasser nicht mischbaren organischen Lösungs- und/oder Verdünnungsmitteln, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von salpetriger Säure und/oder Salpetrigsäure bildenden Substanzen sowie gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von wasserbindenden Mitteln, bei Temperaturen von 0 bis 80°C, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man unter gleichzeitiger Zugabe von 50 bis 100 gew.-%iger Salpetersäure und der zu nitrierenden Verbindung in Gegenwart von Methylenchlorid nitriert, anschließend die Schutzgruppe der Nitroaminobenzole, gegebenenfalls nach vorheriger Abtrennung des Methylenchlorids, abspaltet und die Nitroaminobenzole isoliert. Die Nitroaminobenzole sind wichtige Zwischenprodukte zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen, Pflanzenschutzmitteln, Pharmazeutika, Kunststoffen und Sprengstoffen und können außerdem noch in der Pelz- und Haarfärberei eingesetzt werden.
