High-spin five-co-ordinate Lewis-base adducts of cobalt(II) triazene 1-oxide complexes have been prepared and their reactivity in reversible dioxygen binding studied. Monoclinic spin-Hamiltonian parameters are reported for the dioxygen complexes.
