  efficient approach for accessing unsymmetrical trisulfides through an I2-catalyzed three-component coupling of S-substituted sulphenylthiosulphates (RSSSO3Na), alkyl electrophiles and thiourea. This is the first report on utilizing RSSSO3Na as disulfurating reagent and provides a convenient method for converting bromides, chlorides, iodides and tosylates into trisulfides.
