Organic light emitting devices and consumer products containing the compounds are also disclosed.

An organic compound represented by the general formula [1] described in Claim 1 is provided. In the general formula [1], R 1 to R 3 are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group. However, at least one of R 1 to R 3 represents the aryl group or the heterocyclic group. The aryl group represents a phenyl group, a naphthyl group, a phenanthrenyl group, a fluorenyl group, a triphenylenyl group, or a chrysenyl group. The heterocyclic group represents a dibenzofuranyl group or a dibenzothienyl group.
