  There is provided an insecticidal composition comprising, in admixture with an agriculturally acceptable carrier, an insecticidally effective amount of a tetrahydroquinazoline compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.8, and R.sup.9 are as defined herein, and methods of using the same.
